NPO Establishment minutes

Successful business of the meeting included:

Approval of the establishment essay with minor changes
Approval of the Charter with minor changes
Approval of the business plan, budget and projects for the first year
Election of the first Board of Directors
Membership of 14 founding members

Our NPO paperwork will be completed and submitted by Sachiko Ito at a meeting with Tocho on May 16th. We anticipate that changes will be requested, but hope that due to our careful planning and preparations they will not be too extensive.

The meeting concluded with a champagne toast to the future success of the organization.

Full minutes are located in the Foreign Section file area, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/foreignsection/

The Foreign Legacy Society is a pending NPO. Until the application is processed and approved, we will “do business” as the Foreign Section Trust an unofficial group. Be aware no one can engage in activities under FLS auspices, as the auspices don’t exist. Any infringement of this could cause the NPO application to be rejected.
